Srinagar, September 20 (KNO) : In a major development, suspected militants are believed to have abducted a police constable and three spo's in South Kashmir's Shopian district in the wee hours today. An alert has been sounded and a hunt launched.
A police officer told (KNO) that abducted policemen as Firdous Ahmad Kuchey, Kuldeep Singh, Nisar Ahmad Dhobi and Fayaz Ahmad Bhat. Last month, Hizbul Mujahideen had abducted 11 policemen and Spos against the vandalizing of properties at militant homes by forces. The move had left a major challenge for police and is believed to be the major reason for transfer of former director general of police S P Vaid.
